What could have led into ethnic clash was averted on Friday, by the timely intervention of the Ondo State government, in Isua Akoko in the Akoko South East Local Government Area of the state, following the death of a 13-year-old Fulani boy, Suleiman Usman. A source explained that two people, Alagbara Dele and Oluwatunmise Gbara visited the residence of the deceased on a motorcycle and left with the young boy. He stated that the parents of young Suleiman were not at home when the two suspects visited their home to take the deceased with them. The parents, however, raised the alarm over their missing son, while they organised a search party to look for the boy. The killing of the 13-year-old boy, however, led to some Fulani within the community mobilising themselves for reprisal on the host community.
