Estranged children awarded part of father's estate after Lotto win

Four siblings have been awarded $1.25 million each from their estranged father's Lotto estate. Four children estranged from their father have been awarded the "life-changing" sum of $1.25 million from his $17m Lotto estate. Nelson man David Wayde Carson had minimal contact with his now-adult children since separating from their mother in 1974. Carson's wealth was derived from a $16.7 million Lotto win in 2009. The rest was left in a family trust in which his children were "discretionary beneficiaries".
