Estimated €650k raised as 'Home in Athlone' draw sold 85,000 ticketsRoscommon GAA has raised an estimated €650,000 with their recent 'Win a Home in Athlone' draw, a spokesperson for the club has revealed. Over 85,000 tickets were sold for the fundraising raffle which offered entrants the chance to win a new home at Monksland's Woodberry Manor or €300,000 cash. There were five €1,000 prizes, which were taken home by Paula Heneghan, Dublin (ticket 068795); Martina Casey, Roscommon (ticket 110782); Michael Burnell, Roscommon (ticket 122262); Anthony Murphy, Mayo (ticket 089169); and Andrei Olariv, Dublin (ticket 115643). Roscommon GAA and Club Rossie are deeply grateful to everyone from Ireland and around the world who took part in the draw. "Your support will make a very positive impact on the future of Roscommon GAA," a spokesperson said.
