Teenage years are the time when children begin to learn, understand their bodies and also struggle with changes that come with puberty. Being teased about one's weight can deeply impact a growing child's self-esteem and body image. I suggest you work through your own anxieties and ask yourself what it would take to establish a relationship of trust with your son and your own parenting. As adults, we dislike when others don't trust us or doubt our choices, imagine how a growing teenager would feel?
