A couple featured on Escape To The Country broke down in tears upon visiting a dream home - and discovering that it broke a major show rule. In their house hunting, the couple had ideal specifications: Maryan desired a grand staircase, while both wanted a minimum of three bedrooms. They also wanted land with enough space for bicycle storage, as well as a workshop for their mountain biking enterprise. It came as Briony, 42, was helping couple Barry and Pauline find their dream home in the rural area of Hertfordshire. The camera then panned back on the couple and Pauline was very emotional as she looked out the window.
