Speaking to ghanaweb.com, Mr. Addo said the refusal of the presidency to accept responsibility for the error and issue a rejoinder on the matter undermines confidence in the office. “The director has said that he was only acting based on a letter from the Chief Justice’s office. The people are already on suspension so how do you suspend them again, so the letter and the statement has no effect. It undermines confidence in the presidency because it makes it look like the persons there don’t know what they are doing. I will rather go to the ministry and look for a letter from the ministry to deal with,” he noted.
