Eritrea at Odds with Al JazeeraJuly 15, 2017 - Eritrea accused Al Jazeera, Qatar based media group, of continued smear campaigns. An article titled “Eritrea: Anecdotes of indefinite anarchy” was posted by Al Jazeera last week, detailing range of issues including on a worsening political and socio-economical situations of Eritrea. Eritrea’s latest accusation against al Jazeera comes days after the publication of this article. “We had repeatedly urged Al Jazeera, on various occasions in the past, to refrain from this biased stance. Al Jazeera has put a disclaimer pointing out that “the views expressed in this article are the author’s own and do not necessarily reflect Al Jazeera’s editorial policy”.
