Mediation has failed to resolve a disagreement between two of Christchurch’s leading environmental groups over an estuary walkway. The Christchurch 360 Trail wants its 135-kilometre long walking circuit to run alongside the estuary edge at the oxidation ponds in Bromley. But the Estuary Trust has opposed this for years, and the Christchurch City Council has refused to give the 360 Trail access.
