The college has been awarded the Councillors' Special Award at the 2019 Environment Southland Community Awards. The environment work of students, farmers, conservation groups, businesses and individuals has been honoured at the annual Environment Southland Community Awards. The Environment Southland Community Award winners are:Woodlands Full Primary School – Environmental Action in Education - WinnerIn 2012, students from Woodlands Full Primary School planted 308 native riparian plants along the Waihopai River. Bowman was awarded a Kaitiaki Tohu Pai award at the Environment Southland Community Awards. As the biosecurity manager at Environment Southland for a number of years, Richard has made a huge impact on our region.
