Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Toronto and much of southern Ontario. The hot weather will affect Toronto, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Mississauga, Markham, Oshawa, and Hamilton. Drink plenty of liquids and avoid working in the heat, advises Environment Canada. People — especially young children, the elderly, and those with chronic illnesses — are advised to take precautions. Temperatures are expected to be near or hotter than 31 C Tuesday and Wednesday.
