In this sequel to 2018’s “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” Miller and Lord have created an enthralling animated adventure that takes viewers into new worlds with stunning artistry and vivid storytelling. The animation styles of “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” draws inspiration from the Marvel comic books of Miles Morales created by Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli. Meanwhile, the voice cast is led by Issa Rae as Spider-Woman, Oscar Isaac as Spider-Man 2099, Daniel Kaluuya as Spider-Punk, and Brian Tyree Henry as Miles’ father, Jefferson Davis. During the world premiere in Los Angeles, Brian Tyree Henry remarked that there’s a Spider-Man for everyone, given that heroes come in various forms, representing different individuals from diverse walks of life. The pre-pandemic release of “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” grossed more than $35 million in its first three days.
