The joint presser took place days after former provincial law minister Rana Sanaullah was arrested after the ANF recovered 15 kilograms of heroin from his possession. Speaking alongside Director-General Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Major General Arif Malik, Afridi said evidence against PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah for carrying narcotics in his vehicle is intact and will be presented in the court of law. The minister said 15 kilogram heroin worth Rs150 million in the international market was being carried to Lahore by Rana Sanaullah. Speaking on the occasion, the DG ANF said the force will prove the case against Rana Sanaullah on the basis of evidence. The DG ANF said the force did not seek physical remand of Rana Sanaullah as it has sufficient evidence against him.
