Could the movements of two tagged great white sharks — dubbed Hilton and Lydia — suggest the mysterious predators have an undiscovered mating site off Canada's Atlantic coast? The team hoped to capture and tag one shark on their first Nova Scotia foray. Three of the newly tagged sharks, males Nova and Hal and female Luna, were named for Nova Scotia, Halifax and Lunenberg, N.S., respectively. I’m a 12’ 6” white shark tagged by @OCEARCH who may have a bit of attitude but I don’t mean anything by it. Federal scientists had also tagged their first great white shark in Canadian waters in mid-September.
