Today marks 30 years since the Enniskillen Poppy Day massacre when an IRA bomb killed 11 people and injured dozens more. The targetting of innocent people at a remembrance ceremony for the fallen of two world wars was an act of terrorism that brought global condemnation and devastated the town. Yet despite the worldwide outrage, the failure to bring anyone to justice has exacerbated the pain for the families involved. Ten suspects were detained after the attack but all were released thanks to a lack of evidence. Despite this evidence being reviewed on several occasions the killers and those who aided and abetted them are still at large.
