PETALING JAYA: A large crowd came to party at Padang Timur here from as early as 5pm at the Malaysia Day Countdown Unity Concert. Undeterred by the slightly damp weather yesterday, Malaysians descended on the venue and enjoyed music and delicious food from the food trucks. T. Ramesh, 31, said he came to check out the concert with his girlfriend after hearing about it online. “It’s not too far from my house, so I decided to come celebrate Malaysia Day with fellow Malaysians,” he said. Another visitor, Mohd Halim Razlan, 45, on the other handd, brought his family to the concert for a fun day out as well as to celebrate the important day.
