There was a cloud over England’s white ball tour of South Africa on Friday as turmoil brewed at board level in the host country. Retired constitutional court judge Zak Yacoob was appointed as chairman of an interim board two weeks ago after the discredited original board were forced to resign en masse. ‘I have no doubt that if the Members Council doesn’t take a proper decision, England will be discouraged from coming,’ Yacoob said . ‘The Members Council and the executive have been uncooperative, unresponsive and rude in their dealings with us. They broke their promise to ratify the interim board made two weeks ago.
