On Aug 25, the England and Wales Cricket Board cleared the tour after a security team visited Bangladesh and held meetings with Bangladesh Cricket Board officials and the government. After a militant attack on a restaurant in Dhaka on Jul 1 had put the tour under security cloud, Morgan was among the first England players to publicly express concerns regarding the tour. Later Jos Buttler and Liam Plunkett also expressed their discomfort about the ECB's decision to go ahead with the tour. Farbrace declared his commitment for the two-Test and three one-day internationals tour in October. Last week, Andrew Strauss, director of England cricket, said it was "100% safe" for the tour to go ahead following the ECB delegation's visit and hoped there would not be any absentees.
