Shaw briefly returned to first-team training ahead of England’s Group C opener against Serbia last week with manager Gareth Southgate suggesting he was in consideration to come off the bench that night. In Shaw’s absence, England are without a recognised left-back with Kieran Trippier filling that void in the first two games. The former Southampton youngster has been working on an individual training programme to get him up to speed. ‘We have to decide what the right physical level for group is and what it is for individual players.
