Gareth Southgate has named his initial 33-man England squad for this summer’s European Championships. Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has been included in a bolstered squad which will be cut back before the tournament kicks off on June 11. Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson, Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire and Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips are all included despite injury concerns. Maguire has missed Manchester United’s last four games with an ankle injury and is not expected to be fit for Wednesday’s Europa League final against Villarreal. Phillips picked up a shoulder injury against West Brom on the weekend, but Leeds are confident he will be fit for the Euros.
