England are set to play Georgia for the first time outside of a World Cup this autumn when they meet in the new eight-nation tournament. Eddie Jones’s team came to blows with Georgia during a feisty training session in Oxford last year but their only previous Test match encounters have come at World Cups, with England winning 84-6 in 2003 and 41-10 in 2011. England are pencilled in to play Georgia at Twickenham on November 14 and then Ireland at home on November 21. They are expected to face Wales “away” a week later, with the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium emerging as the most likely venue because the supporters will not be allowed to attend matches in Cardiff.
