On Tuesday, Liverpool star Alexander-Arnold was selected in England’s 26-man squad for this summer’s Euros. After making a routine clearance, Alexander-Arnold pulled up and immediately signalled to the England bench that he needed to come off. Southgate had already used his substitutions by that point but given the nature of the match, Alexander-Arnold still left the field, hobbling around the pitch with the aid of a physio.
