They are match-winners now for Sussex and will be for England as well. That, anyway, is how Phil Salt and Ollie Robinson are viewed and hymned at Hove. Salt struck two half-centuries and Robinson, bowling initially down the slope, took the first four Hampshire wickets. For good measure he finished off a pretty feeble innings, giving him figures of five for 29. Even so, for no Hampshire batsman to score more than 30 over two innings on a decent pitch was hugely disappointing.
