England head coach Eddie Jones has defended his April trip to Japanese side Suntory Sungoliath and insisted coaches need to practise coaching during the off-season. “For 25 years I have always practised coaching and I had to use my holidays to practise coaching because I love it,” Jones said. The RFU has concluded a debrief of the England men’s Guinness Six Nations campaign confirming its full support and backing of Eddie Jones as Head Coach. The England chief added: “I am a coach and I have got to practise coaching. “Obviously we have had a chance as a coaching team and as an organisation to reflect,” Jones said.
