THE United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Stuart Symington has harped on the need for security agencies, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and politicians to engender a level playing field where the votes of Nigerians truly count. He particularly warned politicians against undue inducement of voters through voting buying and security forces against harassment or other acts that are not in accordance with INEC’s guidelines. More importantly, he urged Nigerians to see through the electioneering process, exercise their right to vote and defend their votes to ensure that their votes count. “Do not to be influenced by politicians, security forces in a manner that is not in accordance with the law.””On election day, you won’t affect unless you vote. It is important that you work together so that you make sure your vote is counted.
