The Society of Private Medical and Dental Practitioners, Ghana is calling for an effective collaboration between the government and private health operators in dealing with the coronavirus. It urged government to involve private health practitioners in capacity building activities and also use some of their facilities as screening and testing centres. “We urge the government to actively involve in private health practitioners in training activities to build capacity of health staff in screening, case management and contract tracing”. They also reiterated the importance of strict adherence to the preventive protocols advised by the government and health officials.
