Learners at Atlantis Secondary School heeded their principal’s call to take advantage of the energy and engineering experts addressing them for Career Day on Friday, 14 June. The career day specifically came about when Lesedi held a community meeting about a proposed solar farm in Atlantis. The company found out that while the high school students were taught about the physics of solar energy, none of them had actually seen a solar panel. Lesedi was awarded the tender for the 7MW solar plant, which should start construction by the end of August.
