By Jeffrey T. LewisSÃO PAULO--Energisa's traded units were 3.6% higher after the Brazilian electric company posted strong third-quarter earnings results across the board. The units, consisting of one common share and four preferred shares, reached 49.62 reais, the equivalent of $9.54, and were up 8.4% from the end of last year through Thursday's close. Energisa reported net income jumped 45% from the third quarter of last year, while energy sales rose 3.8% in the period. The power company posted strong results in distribution and had a solid contribution from other segments, said BTG Pactual analysts in a research note. Write to Jeffrey T.
