more-inAn injured Egyptian vulture was rescued by the Wildlife SOS Rapid Response Unit from a temple premises in east Delhi’s Patparganj recently. The Rapid Response Unit received a distress call on the NGO’s 24-hour helpline — 9871963535. The temple priest alerted the local police, who contacted Wildlife SOS. After carefully placing the vulture in a transport carrier, it was taken the NGO’s rescue facility for treatment. This is the second Egyptian vulture we have rescued this year.”The Egyptian vulture (Neophron percnopterus) is called white scavenger vulture or pharaoh’s chicken is the smallest among all vultures.
