End ties with UDA, some party members tell Gachagua


Chairperson of the UDA Founding Members Association, Joe Khalende/FILEA section of UDA members now want former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to sever ties with the ruling party. In a statement, the chairperson of the UDA Founding Members Association Joe Khalende said Gachagua was properly impeached and therefore should disentangle from the party and sever any other political ties with it forthwith. Khalende commended Parliamentarians for exercising their constitutional duties by successfully impeaching the then Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. Khalende urged the National Steering Committee and National Executive Committee to urgently convene and initiate the process of summarily expelling Gachagua from the party. He called on the party's leadership to nominate Deputy President Kithure Kindiki as the deputy party leader.
