The European Union and United States are poised to end a 17-year trade war over Boeing and Airbus subsidies with a truce until 2026, after talks between President Biden and Europe’s top officials. Both sides have agreed a communiqué pledge before a meeting today between Biden and the EU, represented on trade by Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission.
