The Tripoli Criminal Court has sentenced an employee of the Al-Maamoura Civil Registry to 10 years in prison for forging family data, according to an announcement by the Attorney General 's Office. The office stated that the accused deliberately forged 16 national identification numbers and granted them to foreigners, thereby enabling them to obtain citizenship rights. The office also reported that directives were issued to deactivate the forged national identification numbers and to deprive the accused of his civil rights for 14 years.
