It was one of several emotional scenes as army personnel returned on Tuesday night from aiding the fight against the Australian bush fires. NEW ZEALAND DEFENCE FORCE New Zealand Defence Force firefighters in Australia helping contain bush fires. The Defence Force has deployed 118 personnel to Australia, but if more support is needed further assistance will be considered. Royal New Zealand Air Force NH90 helicopters, C-130 Hercules and crew are expected to return next week.
