The Washington Commanders have had some good injury luck through nine days of training camp. On Friday, rookie first-round pick, cornerback Emmanuel Forbes, was battling star wide receiver Terry McLaurin in 7-on-7 drills and came up hobbling after one play. After practice, head coach Ron Rivera confirmed it was a groin injury, and the Commanders do not believe it is anything serious, but there will be further evaluation. “Emmanuel Forbes, they told me he tweaked his groin,” Rivera said. Forbes is having an outstanding training camp, and missing any time with an injury would be a setback that Washington hopes doesn’t happen.
