Two siblings claim they were advised to spend a seven-and-a-half hour Emirates flight in the toilets because of their nut allergies. Shannen, an analyst from Wolverhampton, said she told Emirates three times of their potentially life-threatening allergies: when booking the flights, at check-in and on boarding at Birmingham Airport. "It was uncomfortable, embarrassing and demeaning," Shannen told The Sun. An Emirates spokesperson told the paper the airline was "sorry to hear about Ms Sahota's complaint" and tries to cater for "as many medical, dietary and religious requirements as possible.
