A microlight aircraft has been found crashed near Lake Pukaki, near Twizel. Emergency services are responding to a light aircraft crash near Twizel. A Rescue Co-ordination Centre New Zealand (RCCNZ) spokesman said the microlight aircraft was reported missing about 4.45pm on Saturday. A helicopter with a paramedic on board and search and rescue staff located the aircraft, the RCCNZ spokesman said. “Shortly after 5pm the plane was reported crashed.”Emergency services were at the scene of the light aircraft crash, the spokeswoman said.
