Fire and Emergency New Zealand (Fire and Emergency New Zealand) was called to the airport at about 2.20pm after reports of a plane’s cockpit being smoke-logged. Fenz spokesman Andrew Norris said the plane had since landed and all passengers were disembarked safely, just before 3pm. Radar data suggests the flight took off from Christchurch, but turned back after several minutes.
