Reuben Githinji/Following the rape of five Embu College students at a private hostel, Embu University has expressed concern over its 4,800 day-scholars’ security. The students were on February 1 raped by a gang that broke into their hostels in Bondeni estate. The 10-man gang broke into the students’ Castle Girls Hostels at midnight.The hostel is just 100 metres from an AP post. Mugendi said if security is not improved, both students and business owners will flee. Only 700 out of the college’s 5,500 students live outside campus.
