The Chairman of Transnational Corporation Plc, Tony Elumelu, has called on the Federal Government to address the critical issues plaguing Nigeria’s power sector. According to Elumelu, reforms are necessary to enable lasting economic transformation, adding that the country’s economic progress will be impeded if the electricity industry does not see considerable improvements. However, we call on the Federal Government to prioritise the crippling issues in the power sector. “The challenges in the power sector should be uppermost in our nation’s transformation agenda. Fundamentally reforming the power sector is essential to our national economic transformation,” he submitted.
