VANCOUVER—The owner of a record store in downtown Vancouver is thrilled following an unexpected visit from superstar Elton John. David Jones of Vinyl Records says he was impressed by John’s comfort navigating around a record shop when the renowned composer stopped by Thursday afternoon. Jones says that by the end of the 30-minute stop, John had picked up an eclectic pile of records ranging from Kendrick Lamar to Nina Simone. Jones says it’s nice to see such a high-profile artist supporting the renaissance of vinyl music. He says he hopes John will think about stopping by again if he’s ever in the area.
