Tesla has used $1.36 billion so there is about $440 million available as of the beginning of the year. Tesla is guiding to 47,000 to 50,000 Model S and X’s to be sold in the first half of the year. It makes sense to only give first half guidance since the Model 3 could swing results either positively or negatively. Tesla sold just over 47,000 Model S and X’s in the second half of 2016. At best I believe the first half operating cash flow will be breakeven and it could very well be negative by hundreds of millions of dollars.
