A Morris dancing side in Maidenhead has ended its 50th anniversary year by awarding a cheque worth hundreds of pounds to a club in Maidenhead. Ellington Morris has presented the cheque for £400 to Maidenhead Mencap Monday Club and the funds will be put towards the club’s upcoming events. The side ended its year of dancing with a weekend away at the Swanage Folk Festival, and an Apple Wassail performance. The side is now starting its practice season and learning new dances ready for May 1 next year. Ellington Morris’ next outing will be at its Mummers' Play on Boxing Day.
