The Liberian leader with a glaring smile during the program used the occasion to publicly deflate people she called detractors of progress, and expressed her support to the vice president presidential bid come 2017. The objective of yesterday’s program which was attended by mass supporters, and executives of the Unity Party was to showcase 23 new pickups brought into the country by the Liberian Vice President and Standard Bearer of the Unity Party for the use of the Party during the pending 2017 elections. For his part, the Vice President thanked President Sirleaf for her support over the years, and also used the occasion to dispelled rumor of any split between him and the President. Keys of the vehicles were later turned over to Standard Bearer Emeritus of the Party, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf who turned same over to the Chairman of the Party, Wilmot Paye.
