[PHOTO: COURTESY]Kenyan runner Eliud Kipchoge has become the fastest man in history to run the full marathon distance, clocking an incredible 2 hours and 24 seconds. Kipchoge's run at the Nike's "Breaking2" in Italy on Saturday was an attempt at running a sub-two hour marathon. He ultimately came up just short despite an attempt at a sprint on his ailing legs with the line approaching. Conditions were conducive to fast running - cool and not too windy on the flat Monza Formula 1 motor racing track - as Dennis Kimetto's 2014 world record of two hours, two minutes, 57 seconds was beaten by more than two minutes. The event was promoted as testing the limits of the human body, and going "beyond limits".
