The issue was raised during Monday's Premier League meeting and Championship clubs are aware of the threat heading into today's English Football League meeting. Leeds United and West Brom are the top two in the Championship after 37 games and would also remain in the automatic promotion spots on points per game. At the same stage of last season, Norwich City were top and Leeds second, ahead of Sheffield United, who went up automatically. Premier League clubs, therefore, believe it would be unfair to hand out "golden tickets" to some clubs.
