Photo: Daniel BirchfieldA lack of space for its growing congregation and a desire to expand its community programmes are the reasons behind the Elim Church selling its central Oamaru building, church pastor Gregory Downing says. The Severn St building, where the church has been based since the early 1990s, has been on the market for about a month. The church had looked at the former Limelight Cinema building, which closed in October last year and has remained vacant since, one of several the church had considered over the past several weeks.
