The strain has been identified as salmonella group D, the New Taipei City Department of Health said. A New Taipei City health inspector takes samples from an employee of Chin Liu Cuisine earlier this week. Additional test results from food, environmental and patient samples would be submitted as the investigation continues, she said. As of yesterday morning, 18 people remained hospitalized and 12 were under observation, while the rest had been discharged, officials said.
