The landlocked African nation has imposed a hunting ban for four years to help protect the huge animals . The number of elephants in Botswana is estimated to be about 130,000, which some argue is too many for the ecosystem. But Elephants Without Borders (EWB) argues that elephant population is decreasing across Africa. The hunting ban was introduced in Botswana in 2014 by President Masisi's predecessor Ian Khama.
