SUPPLIED Ross Beal, chairman of Master Electricians New Zealand, says the Government's proposal for apprentice training amalgamation is likely to have "horrific" consequences for the industry. Josh Williams, chief executive of the Industry Training Fedetation, said the reforms would cause an upheaval in apprenticeships and on-the-job training. But Wal Gordon, who has a plumbing business said the industry training organisations were trying to protect their own patches.
