The Inter-Party Advisory Commission in Oyo State, has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission to ensure that all electoral materials distributed before the election was postponed are secured. INEC on Saturday announced the postponement of the Presidential and National Assembly elections by one week due to logistic issues. IPAC Chairman, Mr Waheed Oyewole, made this call in his reaction to the postponement of the elections earlier slated for Feb. 16. “Imagine that INEC conduct election that many polling units receive sensitive materials very late or incomplete materials. “Let the commission in collaboration with the security agencies provide adequate security for the materials so that some unscrupulous politicians do not highjack the materials,” Oyewole stated.
