Senator Buhari, who spoke at Ibapon area of Ogbomoso, said it is disheartening that INEC, which had four full years to plan for any activity, continues to subject the people to unnecessary stress through election postponement every four years. Then, we were already voting and around 2:00 pm, the election was called off. It is becoming a norm, but for us, we are going back to work and to prepare for next week. We have to start working on getting them interested again because the apathy that has developed from this is obvious. INEC needs to be more up and doing in the performance of its duty so that people will not lose interest in the democratic process,” Senator Buhari stated.
